Daniel Bedingfield was born on December 3, 1979 in New Zealand, moving to the UK when he was a child. After a song called Gotta Get Thru This which he recorded in his bedroom gathered momentum on white label, it went on to become a #1 hit in the UK Top 40 in December 2002.

He was subsequently signed to Polydor Records and has been one of their most successful artists in recent years. As well as critical acclaim, he won a Brit award in 2004 for Best British Male Artist. Heartfelt ballad If You're Not The One is widely considered as one of the best UK singles so far this decade. He is currently recovering after a car accident on holiday and plans to start work on a second album shortly. His sister Natasha is also currently getting ready to release an album of her own.
