...was watching Stg i/t Shadows of Motown ... being a "baby-boomer" realise now how much a part of the "sound-track" to my youth Mowtown was. Now sadly,I learn that the Funk Brothers are fractured & apparently exploited (again) at a time when "they should indeed be gettin' their propers ... unbelievable ... is this world doomed to mediocrity,indifference & ignorance ... wake-up America,they are your own!
My heartiest gratitude to Mr.Allan Slutsky for sacrificing so much of his life .... thoroughly appreciated ur work Allan ... loved ur James Brown book too,mate!... yeh,I'm a muso too ... guitarist .... I wish I could be involved in the music.Would love just once to play with the Funk Brothers.Anyone out there feel the same way?
May the Funk Brothers sort out their differences & get on with the music ... sincere regards. Tez.
