Trace Adkins
It only took Louisiana-born
Trace Adkins four albums before he released his Greatest Hits Collection Volume l. After attending Louisiana Tech and touring with gospel band the New Commitments (with whom he recorded two albums), Trace began doing solo gigs throughout Louisiana, Tennessee, New Mexico, Mississippi and Texas. At one of these gigs in Tennessee Scott Hendricks, then President of Capitol Nashville, happened to hear Trace play, and signed him to the label. His Platinum (R) debut, Dreamin' Out Loud, released in 1996, gave up a Top 5 single including "Every Light In The House Is On," and two back to back #1 hits "(This Ain't) No Thinkin'Thing" and "I Left Something Turned On At Home." He followed that album with '
Big Time'in 1997. Every album he has released has been certified with Gold (R) or Platinum (R), including his current 2003 release Comin'On Strong.
