Early years
Eamon was born in Eamon Doyle in Staten Island in 1984. His father, Walter Doyle, was in a doo wop group and Eamon was singing live since he was 9 years old. At 15, he caught the attention of writer/producer Milk Dee who had worked with entertainers such as MC Lyte, Janet Jackson and Mary J. Blige. Dee and his co-producer Mark Passy started refining Eamon's sound.Chart success
"Fuck It (I Don't Want You Back)" immediately caught the attention of urban radio stations when it was released in the US in late 2003 due to its stripped down production and edited profanities about an ex-lover who was two timing the singer. Jive Zomba fast tracked the release of a video for the song and commissioned an album for release in early 2004. The track reached the top 20 of the Billboard 100 and the popularity of the song helped the album I Don't Want You Back into the Top 10 in the US. The success of the song in the US prompted Jive Zomba to release the song internationally where it went to number one in Australia, New Zealand and Sweden. On April 24, 2004 the single debuted on the British Charts at #1.Both the success of the single and the controversial nature of its lyrics prompted production of an answer single "F.U.R.B (Fuck You Right Back)" by a singer called Frankee who claimed to be an ex-girlfriend. While Eamon initially claimed to have selected her to record the song at an audition, he later stated that his only involvement was clearing the use of the music.
