Jimmy Ruffin (born May 7, 1939 in Collinsville, Mississippi) was an American singer and older brother of David Ruffin, one of the lead singers for The Temptations. His 1966 hit "What Becomes of the Brokenhearted" was a major hit and his most well-remembered song, and he also released a popular cover version of "Stand by Me" (by Ben E. King), and several others hits (including "I've Passed This Way Before" and "Gonna Give Her All the Love I've Got"). His last hit was 1980s "Hold on to My Love".
