In addition to being spokesperson for the Candies Foundation, Joy is also a spokesmodel for L'Oreal and in a major national campaign for L'Oreal hair products (spots are running on TV and in film theaters currently).
Enriquez has already appeared on ShowTime's Resurrection Blvd and CBS's highly rated soap The Bold and the Beautiful. She has also hosted Nickelodeon's Slime Time Live and was featured on a Fox Family concert special with Pink and Dream. All this follows major coverage in magazines such as Glamour, Cosmo Girl, Elle Girl, Interview, Latin Girl, Vibe, Women's Wear Daily, Urban Latino and others. In the past 2 years Joy has accomplished much. She recorded the Golden Globe nominated song “How Can I Not Love You” from the FOX motion picture Anna & the King, staring Jodie Foster & Chow-Yun Fat, and she was asked to re-do the classic Disney tune “Bella Notte” as a duet with Latin pop star Carlos Ponce for the Disney animation Lady & the Tramp II.
Joy was just nominated for the 2002 Alma Awards for Best Breakthrough Artist. In all she does – and especially on her glowing self-titled debut album– Joy Enriquez definitely lives up to her first name. Joy says, "Sometimes we fall down, sometimes we're all sad," she says, "I want to make music that lifts you up. I want to be an inspiration in all I do!"
