They are known for their simple loud, yet nuanced punk repertoire, and controversial lyrics. Their album covers were the visual appeal and were unusually odd - naked women, and a naked dwarf covered in blood, for their 1990 album Blood guts and Pussy - followed up a decade later, with a similar theme, this time covered in soap suds, for Come Clean. The band was kicked out of their previous label, Sub_Pop over pranks such as the long-lasting hoax contending that guitarist "He Who Cannot Be Named" had died. They have released on several labesl and recently joined Sympathy For The Record Industry. Their latest release, The Dwarves Must Die, for which the band is currently touring around the United States, shows that this shock-rock band is both true to its original sound and intent on sticking around.
