Anne-Sophie Mutter is a German violinist. She was born in Rheinfelden in Baden, Germany and started playing the paino at age five. Shortly thereafter, she began the violin, eventually studying with Henryk Szeryng.
After winning several prizes, she was exempted from school to dedicate herself to her art.
Her specialty is modern music. She has received various prizes, including several Grammys.
She is married to the pianist and conductor André Previn.
