I heard a new song on the radio by INSX this morning and the DJ announced the new member of the band, said he wrote the song just for his audition. What was the name of the song and the new band member. I missed it.

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA (JUNE 1, 2005) - Earlier today, Rock Star Go Home! successfully pre-launched its new website at www.rockstargohome.com.

The interactive introduction to the site is very unique. A 60 second movie offers a touching memory of Michael Hutchence and the entire INXS band. The film continues with an allusion to the heavily anticipated Rock Star: INXS premiering on CBS on July 11.

Unfortunately, the site offers little insight or information about what the site is or how it relates to Rock Star: INXS.

Ultimately, the public and press are left to wonder, "What is Rock Star Go Home?" Management at Rock Star Go Home! offered little assistance to this curious question. Adam Pick, site creator, stated "It's a counter-intuitive concept that is could radically change the format of reality tv and internet gaming."

Rock Star Go Home! Announces Its ‘Celebrity Blogger’

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – Entertainment Wire – Today, Rock Star Go Home took another step forward to sharing its purpose with the rock, gaming, reality television and INXS communities. At 9am (EST), it was announced that Stephen Perkins, legendary drummer of Jane’s Addiction, Porno for Pyros, Banyan and The Panic Channel, would be the site’s Celebrity Blogger.

“This is going to be fun,” Perkins noted in an interview, “It’s not often I get to offer up my ideas on singers rockin’ out to win the lead role in a big band like INXS.” The award-winning drummer is referring to the new Mark Burnett reality tv show, Rock Star: INXS, slated to air on CBS starting July 11.

Perkins should have some excellent insights on the do’s and dont’s of being a lead singer. During his career, Stephen has jammed with a premiere roster of bands including Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt, Rancid, Sheryl Crow, Love and Rockets, Camp Freddy, Peter Murphy, Hell Ride and Methods of Mayhem.

“As for Rock Star Go Home,” Perkins noted, “I have to be close-lipped about the site for now. But once it launches, that blog is my domain to offer up the good, the bad, the u-g-l-y.”

Perkins offered no additional clues to the lingering question, “What is Rock Star Go Home?” However, more hints continue to be dropped at www.rockstargohome.com.

Adam Pick (site founder) stated, "Like all great reality shows, there’s an excellent, counter-intuitive twist about to be unleashed.” Pick continued, “All I can say is that we are very happy to have a guy like Stephen Perkins on board.”
