This is the Fletcher Henderson Orchestra's 1937 recreation of their 1926 hit "The Stampede." For this record, Fletcher reworked this tune from a hot instrumental into a driving swing number that sounds as fresh as the arrangements that he was concurrently writing for Benny Goodman. The brief solos are by Emmett Berry on trumpet and Chu Berry on tenor sax.
