Amy Lynn Lee is an American singer. She formed the band Evanescence with Ben Moody when they met at camp. Ben found Amy playing Meat Loaf's "I Would Do Anything for Love" at the camp's piano, and instantly knew she was the one. Amy needed a guitarist and Ben needed a singer. This marked the beginning of Evanescence.

In 2003, their single "Bring Me to Life" (featuring Paul McCoy) was featured on the Daredevil soundtrack, and reached number one in the UK Singles Chart.

Amy was born in Riverside, California. She has a brother and two sisters. At school, Amy was a bit of a loner; her family was always moving around the country. She learned to be on her own. They finally settled in Little Rock, Arkansas, where Evanescence started. She graduated from Pulaski Academy in the year 2000. She also briefly attended Middle Tennessee State.

Her favorite groups: Soundgarden, Portishead, Nirvana and Coldplay.
