The original cast included Anne Ross, Anh-Thu Doan, Miriam Cani, Tertia Botha and Rebecca Miro.
Similar to their male counterpart, Overground, the Preluders got hyped from the very beginning of the show. Their first official single "Everyday Girl" debuted at #1 on the German singles chart and peaked at #5 in Switzerland and #4 in Austria. Their debut album "Girls In The House" saw similar success, eventually receiving a platinum certification.
In 2004 the group followed-up with "Bal Privé" and "Hotter Than You Know", but contrary to expectations none of them was able to enter the top 20. In summer they began recording their sophomore album "Prelude To History", a retro album, fitted with remakes and a few new songs. The album's first single "Walking On Sunshine" peaked at #24 on the German singles chart; the second single "Do You Love Me" debuted at #50, caused through its non-video release.
In June 2005 Tertia was the first member to leave the band because of a longer recovery process after a sudden car crash. Rebecca followed in August, referring to internal conflicts.
A new single ("Never Before") by the rest of the girls, Anne, Anh-Thu and Miriam, is scheduled for spring 2006.
