The Impressions were a soul group from Chicago, Illinois, USA that existed from 1958 until 1983. Members included Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler.

Curtis Mayfield wrote several hit songs for the group, some of which became anthems for the civil rights movement, such as Keep on Pushing in 1964 and the gospel-influenced People Get Ready in 1965.
