The Levellers is a band that plays Folk-rock or Indie rock, influenced by Punk and traditional english music. They are named after the radically democratic faction of Oliver Cromwell's New Model Army and based in Brighton, England. They were founded around 1988. Their greatest commercial hit is "Just the One" from the Album "Zeitgeist", released in 1994. They make frequent tours through Europe.

Members are Mark Chadwick (vocals, guitar), Simon Friend (guitar, banjo, vocals, mandolin, harmonica), Jeremy Cunningham (bass guitar, vocals, artwork, jumping up and down), Charlie Heather (drums), Jon Sevink (fiddle) and Matt Savage (keyboards, backing vocals), sometimes supported by Stephen Boakes (didgeridoo)
