February 26, 2006 | | great tunes by a great group
One tends to forget just how many tunes the Shirelles racked up, and this CD is a perfect refresher course. Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow; Dedicated to the Ones I Love; Mama Said; Soldier Boy; my fav - Baby It's You; Tonight's the Night; I Met Him on a Sunday. They are all here and with the original recordings!
This is a great salute to the wonderful girl group. Super addition to any library or a way for someone wanting to get to know this talented force during a period when music tended to be dominated by males.

September 18, 2004 | | Incredible Value!! Defining sound of pre-Beatle 60s
The Shirelles were one of the premier all-girl bands of the 60s and one of the top groups of the pre-Beatle era ('61-'63). 6 of their Top 40 classics from this period are on this low-priced CD, including songs by Carole King, Burt Bacharach and Luther Dixon. The songs are great, the harmonies are lush. This is the perfect soundtrack to a more innocent time.
January 18, 2002 | | GREAT. A GREAT TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE
WHO CAN EVER FORGET SHIRLEY AND THE SHIRELLES. THIS ALBUM BRINGS BACK GREAT MEMORIES OF THE LATE 50'S AND EARLY 60'S. THE SHIRELLES, ALONG WITH THE MARVELETTES AND THE OTHER GIRL GROUPS WERE SOMETHING SPECIAL. A GREAT CD TO SPEND TIME LISTENING TO.
