Average user review:this is tight the first version of the geto boys before scarface, willie d, and bushwick bill came up on the mics but at this time bushwick was a dancer and the geto boys consisted of prince johnny c, jukebox, and dj ready red these mugs sound like run dmc wannabe's my favorite joint is balls and my word which samples the movie classic scarface a movie many rappers sampled over the years. Geto Boys make a crossover between Run DMC & Kool Moe Dee
Making Trouble is the album the Geto Boys made before Rick Rubin saved them. They're obviously looking for their own style. But they haven't found it yet. On most of the songs the boys are trying to sound like RUN DMC. Rockin' the mike. Sometimes they rap just like Kool Moe Dee. And the only one who can rap like Kool Moe Dee is..... This album is strictly for the die-hard fans, who are interested in GB's music before the legendary album 'The Geto Boys'. That was their piece de resistance and probably the best rap-album ever. It was original gangstarap, great samples, hilarious lyrics and totally offending. Unless you are a real Geto Boy fan, forget 'Making Trouble' and buy 'The Geto Boys'.
Grip it!
