MY NIECE LOVED THIS MOVIE AND THE SONG "WE HAVEN'T FINISHED YET. I GOT THE CD FOR HER BUT WANTED TO HEAR THE SONG. WELL, I ENDED UP LOVING IT TOO; PLUS FOUND OTHERS. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I HAD TO GET HER ANOTHER CD BECAUSE I KEPT THE INITIAL ONE I GOT FOR HER. XOXOXOXO

I watched the 15th Anniversary Edition of the movie last night as well as the special features. I was surprised to discover that none of the members of the Heartbeats in the film actually sang their roles; shades of Eddie & The Cruisers I and II. It is also fascinating that while they were making the movie they were never aware of The Heartbeats of "A Thousand Miles Away" fame (later members of Shep and the Limelites of "Daddy's Home" fame). What a fine movie. As a member of the generation that saw the Flamingoes, Moonglows, Heartbeats and Spaniels live at the Uptown Theater on North Broad Street in Philadelphia in the 1950s, this movie moves me and inspired me to watch it several times. I understand that the "dangling off the porch" scene was based on Jackie Wilson's life experience. They have captured the time as Doo-Wop transitioned to Motown well.
November 3, 2007I enjoyed this movie and was delighted to have my family member ask to hear it for their enjoyment not only for themselves for but their summer camp this past July 2007.

I love the soundtrack, BUT one very important song is missing -- the one where JT and Flash have a singing "duel" and come down into the audience to focus on one young lady who is there with her husband. Does anyone know how I can get it?
March 27, 2007Great CD, equally hard to find. There is something about the selection of songs taken from the movie. If you have the movie, it is a must to own the CD.
