I bought this CD for my husband who loves classical and the "old sounds of music". He has thoroughly enjoyed listening to this CD (constantly I might add) which has clear, pure sound. I think it is one of the best surprises I have bought for him and he thinks I am brilliant for finding it! January 4, 2007

I just reintroduced myself to this wonderful musical team. I have all their films on VHS and i'm hoping that someday someone will have enough sense to put them on DVD. As far as this CD goes it is wonderful. I've written reviews on most their films. I saw them all as a child at a festival many years ago. I'm not in their era, i'm really a product of the 60's but their music was like none other and if you think about it, it paved the way for such operatta's like Les Mis, Phanton, Miss Siagon. I'm still in awe of Jeanette and Nelson. What beautiful voices and perfect pitch. I think my favorite song if i could really pick one would be "Lover Come Back to Me." The emotion is overpowering as it is with most of their duets. Refresh yourself by buying this great CD and let your mind fall in love all over again. April 1, 2006

I was pleased with the clarity of the album. I have always liked Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald but this is the first recording I have had. It is over an hour of his songs and very good selection. Most of the songs are the same on Sweethearts but there are about 6 different ones. I have enjoyed both recording very much and am sure anyone that likes their music will be pleased. August 25, 2002

It's pretty sad that I'm the first one writing a review about this classic recording. Kids today get so swept up in Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys that they forget what their grandparents listened to. This starts you off with Indian Love Call, which is perfectly fitting. Other highlights include Auf Wiederseh'n, Senorita, and Italian Street Song. My favorite track is Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life. It's wonderously beautiful. And of course, the great Rose Marie, the theme song from the fabulous movie. It closes out with Will You Remember, a song that I know I will personally remember always. Fantastic, go buy it now!
