One of the finest anthologies out there!

The Allmans Brothers Band was one of the greatest rock groups in the world and this CD is the one to own if you don't want to drag out 4 or 5 CD's to hear your favorite cuts. All of their first four albums are superb but this CD captures the essence of those. I'm sure there will be a favorite missing, like "Done Somebody Wrong" one of my faves, but if you're looking for one CD that captures their magic, this is the best one to have. I saw them a few times live between 1970 and 1971, and they were the finest live band I've ever seen. I recommend all of their first five albums, but if you don't have the time, money or room, this CD is your logical choice. Outstanding and if I was on a desert island, this would be one of my picks. Good Collection

A good collection of Allman Brothers music on one cd. I have most of the songs on several other cd's but liked having them all on one. Recommend to Allman Brothers music fans. February 15, 2008

Steve Gluda mistake

Don't mean to be picky, but I'm a big fan of Billy Joe Shaver and just wanted to let Steve know that B.J. wrote "Rambling Man", but Betts did do a great job. A little side note, a friend of mine was a nurse in a drug-treatment facility in Atlanta where Gregg and Dicky were treated. She said Betts was a great guy and Allman was a real jerk.
