Who is a better ranchera singer, Linda Ronstadt or Lola Beltrán? Lola has a deeper voice, but both can certainly belt out a song! It's hard to say who is better. It's like choosing between Pavarotti and Plácido Domingo.

The sad fact, though, is that the fidelity of most of Lola's albums is very low...they sound like they were recorded on a home tape recorder. And since she has now passed away, there will never be any new recordings. May 26, 2007
