Whatever happened to Lila?

Lila was a hit at such a young age, battling it out with other young stars at the time like Leann Rimes, and Jessica Andrews. Whatever happend to Lila? Her debut album was her best, and she was amazing, showing a maturity beyond her years. There was the young and fun " I wanna fall in love", and the original "yippy ky yay" that was fun to listen to.
But there were the deep and soulful songs "A rain of angels", "i feel for you", and "almost over you" that would still be hits today!

Oh- and "Just one little kiss" too....a hit from the album that is as fresh and fun today as it was 10 years ago!

You must sample " Already somebody's lover" as well. There are just so many gems on this album.

GOOD CD!

ALOT OF PEOPLE I SEE ARE SAYING THAT LILA MCCANN WAS TOO YOUNG OR THAT SHE DID A GOOD JOB CONSIDERING HOW YOUNG SHE WAS. WHY CANT PEOPLE SAY SHE'S GOOG BECAUSE SHE HAS TALENT? I LOVE LILA HERE ARE MY PERSONAL REVIEWS ABOUT EACH SONG

THIS SONG WAS WONDERFULLY COMPOSED AND WRITTEN THE WORDS ARE GREAT ALTHOUGH I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS FALLING IN LOVE!

TRACK2: JUST ONE KISS [848/800]
THIS SONG IS CATCHY AND RINGS TRUE IT IS SO AMAZING HOW ONE KISS CAN MAKE SOMEONE FALL IN LOVE!

TRACK3: ALMOST OVER YOU [800/800]
THIS SONG IS OKAY ALL THOUGH I THINK SHE TRIES TO SING A LITTLE HIGH AND IT DOESN'T DO MUCH FOR HER ABILLITY BUT I CAN IDENTIFY WITH THE SONG

TRACK 4: DOWN CAME A BLACK BIRD: [868/800]
I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS SONG IT IS WONDERFUL! LILA MCCANN SANG IT SO PERFECTLY AND IT IS THE MOST COUNTRY TYPE SONG ON THIS ALBUM

I DON'T REALLY GET THIS SONG IF YOU SEE SOMEBODY THAT YOU LIKE AND THINK THAT YOUR ALREADY SOMEBODY ELSES LOVER THEN YOU ARE INSANE! BUT THE TUNE WAS EXALENT

THIS SONG WAS WROTE BY NONE OTHER THAN LILA MCCANN HERSELF IT'S A GOOD SONG. SHE TALKS ABOUT A LOVER WHO IS SEEING SOMEONE ELES AND ACTS DIFFERENTLY TWORDS THE BOTH OF THEM

TRACK7: YIPPY KY YAY [868/800]
THIS SONG IS CATCHY AND FUN I THINK THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS ALONG WITH DOWN CAME A BLACK BIRD AND LIKE DOWN CAME A BLACK BIRD IT IS A MORE COUNTRY SONG THAN THE OTHERS

TRACK 8: I FEEL FOR YOU [800/800]
THIS SONG IS SORTA SAD. IT'S ABOUT A BOYFRIEND WHO WANTS TO GET BACK TOGETHER WITH HER BECAUSE HE WAS DUMPED AND WHILE SHE WANTS TO SHE'S AFRAID OF GETTING A BROKEN HEART

Great Voice But, Okay Album!

The first & only song I have ever heard from Lila Mcann was I Wanna Fall In Love. I never even knew she had any other albums or hit songs & I did not hear much about her either. That says something. I love the song I Wanna Fall In Love & I have wanted to own it for a very long time. Finally I had the Opportunity to get her debut album with that song on it for Cheap at a Garage Sale.I thougt since that was such a great song & she has a pretty voice I thought the rest of the songs would be just as good or almost as good as I wanna Fall In Love but, when I listened to the whole album I found out that the rest of the songs were okay & kind of plain.Another thing I do not know why there is not a single forI Wanna Fall In Love. Almost every singer has cd singles for their hit songs or songs they release. Why doesn't Lila have a single for this song? I guess I might just have to burn that song on a cd with other people's songs Or keep the whole album & play only that song. Lila does have great voice but, she definately has not gotten very far. Out of any country singer who released a debut album when they were a teenager I think the only one who made it really big was LeAnn Rimes. Maybe there is still hope for Lila to turn it around! Mediocre material for a great voice

Lila McCann shows tremendous potential as a singer but this collection of forgettable tracks doesn't do much to enhance her ability. "Down Came a Blackbird" is unconvincing coming from someone so young. Let's hope this promising young talent gets better songwriters! August 25, 2004

Wow

This is a beautiful cd. I have been searching for this cd for a long time...he self-titled one... I just love her voice. I remember the first time I heard "I wanna fall in love". I was so down and this song lifted me up. I just got down with a breakup with a guy that I truly loved. "I'm almost over you" put int perspective that I need to get over him. Although I loved him, I need to get on wiht my life. Now, te only song I listen to is "Rain of Angels". My sister recently went into the hospital with Cardiomyopothy, and I have been praying to the Goddess to le her stay with us. As I am writing this, I see her face and hear Lila's song, and am crying. I thank you, Lila, for singing such a beautiful song. This cd is great! I recommend it for anyone who is having troubles in their life, or just wants to be happy. June 18, 2004
