Bette Midler - Mud Will Be Flung Tonight

This is a stand out stand-up comedy album. Bette is down and dirty, raunchy and hilarious. The final track on the album is a classic as Soph talks about her boyfriend Ernie, her girlfriend Clementine, and of course.....bodily gasses.

There's jokes about ti...uhm....portions of female anatomy, mud slinging at Madonna, and honestly I can't remember one album that consistantly keeps me laughing no matter how many times I hear the routines. Her timing is right on mark. August 27, 2007

HOW FANTASTIC IS THIS CD!!I CAN LISTEN TO IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN .MS MIDLER IS WITHOUT DOUBT THE MOST TALENTED EVER.I ONLY WISH THERE WAS A DVD TO GO WITH IT.THE VISUAL MUST HAVE BEEN INCREDIBLE!!!!! February 1, 2007

Still Laugh-out-loud to the last joke

Ah, Bette. What that girl gets away with! I laugh so hard, then am embarassed that I find it funny. This is not for your church group, well, not at least at church. I had the album, and am glad to get the cd, so it will stay fresh and funny for decades more! January 12, 2007

"No wheelchairs, no fins ... and best of all ..."

If you can remember the next line, give it a listen all over again and tell me whether you agree with me that I can say that this is the best comedy album I've ever heard. I want to use all of my favorite set-up lines as the title, but there aren't enough characters to transcribe the whole recording.

It's 2006. In the 20 years and more since I first heard this album, I've memorized every line, and forgotten more than I remember; and even recited pieces in the breakroom at work (and then cringed when I realized what I'd done) and laughed and laughed, over and over, shared it with friends (and, unfortunately reciting along with it); I'm still sharing it with people -- the latest hadn't heard it in decades, but as soon as it started to play recognized it -- and we still laughed like hyenas.

I've waited 20 years for word that Bette is doing another comedy album.
Note to La Divine: I want to be in the audience next time!
