This is not only Yes's best album, but the best live album of all time!
Very well recorded, and full of energy. It's amazing to hear Yes play their complicated music live, and sound like the studio version (no over dubbing here) as a matter of fact, I prefer these live tracks to their studio counterparts, more raw energy! I played the vinyl the death, and still have it, I love the new remastered CD. If you like progressive music and don't have this album, what's wrong with you! February 28, 2008

I am not a big fan of LIVE recordings. I tend to stay with the studio works of my favorite artists. However, with a band like Yes, I continue to be drawn to their music, and with no new music out...I turned to live recordings.

This is one of the best compilations of live music by a band. The performances here are top notch, and the remastered version helps flavor the sound in a sparkling clear manner. Classic Yes tunes played live from the tour supporting Close To The Edge LP, the Prog-Rock group's classic rock high point.

If you like Yes, then this album is a must have! Or if you like Yes and have Classic Yes CD, then this is essentially the Live version of that album. This is more or less a best of type compilation, but the live performances here prove to everyone that Yes on tour sounded just as good as they did in the studio! January 14, 2008

This is it. The best album ever. I was first introduced to it by a friend shortly after its release. I bought it on vinyl. Bought another one years later when the first one got a bit scratchy. Then bought a CD version. And after accidentally leaving one of the two disks in a rental car's CD player, I bought another CD. If I had one album to take with me to the proverbial desert island, this would be it. November 30, 2007

Yessongs captures Yes performing live at their peak. Many of these performances are astonishing, especially given the complexity of the music. I'd rate this as one of the very finest live rock recordings of all time. As for the sound, my only complaint is that Wakeman's keyboards often seem distant and overpowered by the other instruments, a flaw in the recording but not a major one. All Yes fans and indeed, all fans of progressive rock should own this classic CD. November 27, 2007
