Classic Faith, one of her first Cd's, not her best, not her worst. I recommend this Cd.
March 9, 2008Take Me As I Am is a great debut album, a step along the way to superstardom. It introduced the world to her awesome voice. An excellent female country album. Almost all the songs are good. Here they are:
Take Me As I Am - fast and spirited title track
Wild ONe - high energy song about conflict between the generations
Just About Now - good slower tune
Piece of My Heart - uptempo remake
I've Got a Friend - duet. Each singer knows a single friend who could use someone
Life's Too Short - really cruises along, has a sharp edge to it.
Got the Distance - rock edge, confident attitude
July 5, 2007Faith's debut album is just great. I especially love "Take Me as I am", "Wild One", "Just about now", "Life's too short to live like that" and "Go the distance". Her "Piece of my heart" is wonderful. I think this one is probably Faith's best work ever. I listen to it at least once a day! It is just great!
June 6, 2007Faith Hill's debut album is a strong collection of songs. Of course her music has changed a lot from this debut, but it's all good. She has yet to make an album I did not like. This one is definately her most traditional country album. The album had a few hit singles, including "Wild One", "Take Me As I Am" and "Piece of My Heart". "But I Will" is a great ballad, but it only reached #35. There's other nice ballads like "Just Aout Now", "Just Around The Eyes" and "I Would Be Stronger Than That", and some uptempos. Overall a nice debut.
January 16, 2005Faith Hill when she started till now has always done great albums from country to pop it is all good music - great music shouldn'thave to be labeled (If it makes you feel good and you enjoy it get over the fact of whether it is country, pop, classical, jazz etc. just enjoy the music...and as far as one review of this album goes Faith Hill never went out with Troy Aikmen nor did she make a video with him...it was Lorrie Morgan.....HELLO people in America get with the program folks
