User Reviews
Average user review:I don't know why, but this album should be put (BY THE MUSIC MAGAZINES,as well)in the top 10 albums of all time. This album is a 1990's "BEATLES" album. This is what the beatles would have been and sounded like in the 90's. NO QUESTION !!! I'm glad someone ( AND TOM PETTY has ), learned the brillant style of the beatles and added his own twist ( GREAT ) music, from are HISTORY in the world. ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS "DO,DO,DO,DO-IT AGAIN-and AGAIN ". (P.S.)- TO TOM PETTY," Never change what is good, make more of it " !!!!!!!!! I demand ( AND TITLED ), Wildflowers Gr. hit's # 2. As do my friends, who all love your talent. May 17, 2008
íEl sonido Petty a su maxima expresion!
Agradable, melancolico, armonioso y sencillo (pero no simple).Hay pocos discos que me provoquen escucharlos de principio a fin; este es uno de ellos. March 23, 2008
Masterpiece!!!!!
What an album!!! This is undoubtedly one of the best albums ever made. The genius is in the simplicity. And not everyone can make a masterpiece with simplicity but Tom Petty did and it just pierced my soul when I heard it. When listening to these songs you can't help but think about your life and the good times and bad times you've had. Love and broken hearts, successes and broken dreams, and just living life in America. It's all here. I am particularly mesmorized by the haunting strings on the last part of It's Good to be King - one of the most beautiful songs I have ever had the pleasure of getting to hear. Thank you Tom Petty. Mr. Himes
Dear Amazon,
Mr. Himes review of Mr. Petty's work is snarky and shallow. His characterization of Petty & George Harrison (two of the all-time greats) as "second tier" is condescending and uninformed. As a frequent customer who is a Harrison & Petty centric rock fan, it's a turn-off to read drivel such as this. June 10, 2007
music doesn't get any better
Wildflowers truly is a wonderful album. The thing that makes the album so great is the fact that Tom Petty really gave each of the songs a personal message that just about ANY one can relate to. Every song has a meaning that's worth listening closely to.
Whether it's the rockers or the ballads or just the pretty songs, there's something here for everyone. Everybody knows Tom Petty is one of the most easily likeable musicians in the world of pop music, and this album further proves just how enjoyable his music is. He's good at what he does, and he continues to show the world his style with overwhelmingly positive results just about every time.
Kick back, turn the lights off, and just listen to a personal journey and probably the best album Tom Petty ever made. May 31, 2007
