Classic Hughes Film with a Classic Soundtrack

Most of John Hughes' films were written with the soundtrack in mind. He uses music to tell the story, and this CD takes you back to those key moments in the film. There are some 80's songs that are from bands that may not be remembered, but the music itself made the movie. If you loved this movie, you'll love the soundtrack. Missing Song is the best one!

The first song playing at the beginning of this movie is the best one and it's not even on the soundtrack. It is "Dr. Mabuse" by a German group called Propaganda. Overall the soundtrack is still great though. February 24, 2008

Gem of a soundtrack

I wore out my tape of this soundtrack and finally got it on CD. The music is just as good as it was 20 years ago (has it really been that long??). It is still fresh, original, and is meant to be listened to over and over. I can still imagine the scenes each song is associated with when I listen to this soundtrack. Some Kind of Wonderful to Your Ear

The CD is amazing. Every song is fresh sounding even today, a great mix between downright rockers and pretty ballads. The best part of all is that none of these artists are what you would call big names, most in fact are probably unknown to most of the music world. This just proves, when you dig a little, you truly can find buried treasure. This is a must have to your music collection! July 13, 2007

Soulrevivor

This is one of the best 80's films and one of the best soundtracks, if you grow up in that decade you have to own this CD and buy the DVD.

Here is a classic example of Non-famous band music at his best, the only negative thing I have to say about is that they didn't include the Charlie Sexton - Beats So Lonely that play in the confrontation between Keith and Amanda Boyfriend at his House when Elias Koteas enters to fight and when Amanda and Keith enter the museum that plays Catch my Fall from The Hell raiser himself Billy Idol.
