They said it was a little scratched and it was, but they also said the cd would play perfectly and it did! September 6, 2008

This is without doubt the best album they produced. They are truly great musicians who love their work. They recieved excellent backing from their friend Paul Weller, who also plays on the album, as have they on his.
The tracks range from catchy rocking melodies to moody and thought provoking. I believe that tracks from this album if not the album itself reached No 1 in the UK in the Mid to late 1990's. It certainly deserved it and will stand the test of time. March 8, 2007

It's okay, but I've never been able to warm to these tunes. They just don't stick with me. January 7, 2007

Having grown up in England in the midst of the underground brit pop explosion i saw most of the bands of the era. Few, however, captured the mood of the time better the Ocean Colour Scene with moseley shoals. With additive riffs, gorgeous melodys and honest lyrics its not hard to see why. If your a fan of the brit pop of the 90's and bored of 'What's the story morning glory' then buy it. I guarantee you'll love it. January 29, 2006

I have listened to this album every day of my life ever since my Dad introduced it to me and I never get tired of it. Whereas Oasis' '(What's the Story?) Morning Glory gets credit for the best music of 1990's, and is a great album, the songs get boring after a while which is certainly not what Mosely Shoals does.
From the opening riff of The Riverboat Song I was instantly alert and wanted to hear more. The catchy chorus of The Day We Caught the Train comes second, with a great lead guitar helping hand from none other than Paul Weller in the fantastic The Circle. Lining Your Pockets calms the mood down a little, with great ballad vocals from Simon Fowler. Fleeting Mind has some great chords and a brilliant air of mystery about it, with 40 Past Midnight, a tune reminiscent of The Beatles, following it. One For The Road, probably one of the most underrated songs of this album, follows, and It's My Shadow is perhaps a mickey take on Oasis' Cast No Shadow? Policeman and Pirates has great lyrics which you can really be moved by, The Downstream has another amazing catchy chorus which you will be singing for days, and You've Got It Bads brilliant riff and the great lyrics of Get Away finish it off. A must have!
