Several reviewers have complained that Reba has gone Pop. Obviously these are people who don't listen to Pop music. However, I will say it is Pop flavored country at best.

I was never a fan of Reba's until her show. That's when I started listening to some of her music. Still not a fan of her early "country" music. If you like Reba McEntire, but don't like the traditional country sound, give this one a listen.

Reba has not left country music, but has broaden her appeal to a larger crowd. Just as not every Pop singer is strictly fluff and bubblegum, not every country singer has a million problems while standing by their man. August 27, 2008

I think Reba did this in a brand new studio that she built. Seems I remember that maybe she even had the drum riser installed mid level in the air above and behind her in the studio. Drums are great and move the songs well. The sound quality is superb and I believe demonstrates her great range and emotion of her voice. Not an expert, but the mixing just seems awesome on this one. Full and rich. Almost like she is right there in the living room with you. I listen to it over and over. February 25, 2006

If this album is overlooked its only because none of the songs here are memorable. I did like "I'd Rather Ride Around With You" but its too reminiscent of teeny boppers joy riding. The ballads are not very memorable. THey don't stand out!! Everything is too loud. Does anyone even remember when Reba USED to be Country instead of POP? October 21, 2005

This 1996 Reba album spun off a few classic hits for her, and brought her back to the top of the charts after an unsuccessful album (1995's underrated covers album STARTING OVER). The first single "The Fear of Being Alone" almost hit #1, peaking at #2. It's a fun song about two people who have been wronged by love, not wanting to jump into a relationship too quickly. The second single, the empowering "How Was I To Know", was a #1 hit in 1997! The song is about finding inner strength after getting through a breakup. "I'd Rather Ride Around With You" was the third single and is a fun song that went to #2. The fourth single was the title track, and my personal favorite on the album. It only reached #15 but it's still a great track. It's an emotional ballad about being in love with someone who's in love with someone else.

The album boasts a more "fresh" sound. A new haircut marked a change in Reba's career as well. Other highlights on the album include the emotional ballads "Close To Crazy" and "Just Looking For Him", the midtempo "It Don't Matter", and the uptempo "She's Calling It Love" and "Never Had A Reason To". This is a usually overlooked Reba album but worth having in your collection. Great songs throughout! October 11, 2005

This CD is sooo much fun to listen to! I love how spunky and at home Reba sounds on this CD! It's filled with 10 amazing songs, two of which hit #1 on the charts! This CD is ground breaking because Reba brought her road band into the studio to play with her! It's just a GREAT album! October 1, 2005
