Everyone knows "Radar Love". It's a really cool hard rock track that seems to go through many different twists and turns in a 6 minute period. Those twists and turns are actually what makes the rest of the album, along with everything else Golden Earring released, very interesting. "Candy's Gone Bad" is energetic, and even punk-sounding if you ask me. The ending of the song is truly incredible with the drums and piano. Nice twist!

It's only appropriate that in "The Vanilla Queen" they mention the year 1957. My dad was born that year, and he's a fan of these guys also. The rest of the album includes more unpredictable songwriting and many more surprises for your listening pleasure. An album you need to buy if you like classic rock, crystal clear production, and music written creatively.

It should really suffice to say that, in my quest to replace the vast majority of the vinyls I had amassed over the years, this was a very special contribution to my cd equivalent which was never going to be disregarded. I love it with the same passion I had for it way back when, and it now has a privileged place in my updated collection. May 8, 2007

Great album, great cover. Nice to see it remastered with the "true" album cover with is a hard to find item. A nice slice of 70's hard/prog rock. I plays well with their albums "Live" (1st one) & "Switch" August 24, 2006

This is one of those rare albums that is excellent from start to finish, one that never dates, one that is still a pleasure to listen to even after all the years since it's release. Considering Earring have 29 (at last count excluding best of comppilations) albums (about 1 a year since they formed) finding the best is a hard task until you hear "Moontan"! (If you can get "Moontan" and another album "Cut" as a package deal (which I think Amazon has promoted before) then you have 2 of THE best albums of all time, not just the best of Earring. This is a fantastic album....not just the fact it contains the bands biggest hit "Radar Love"....but also because it contains several numbers that were live masterpieces. "Big Tree, Blue Sea" should be noted that it is different from the version on the Dutch cd and this is the only place you will find this version.

I have been a longtime fan and have every cd they ever made...altho I consider this an excellent album....I wouldn't sell their other cd's short....Check them out while they're still available. Some I recommend are:
Live 1977...Grab it for a second...Prisoner of the night...No promises no debts...Contraband...To the hilt....Switch..Moontan (Dutch version).these would represent the band in the 1973-80 stage of their career.
