ET is actually fairly popular among our incredibly open/indie-minded college youth. Apparently at least. I don't hear anything very memorable on this album; the glut of 2-minute ditties rather limits what can be done in that respect. The songs get catchy quickly and then get over. Expect fairly simple but hardly inept instrumentation, loaded lyrics about situations easily related to, and appreciate the circumstances under which this was recorded. I didn't care for it the first time through, but I'm in college now too, so as it's fashionable to say, THIS IS A GOOD ALBUM FIGHT THE SYSTEM AND BUY IT NOW OK.

...and that you end up wincing to hear the words to, and maybe get a little too caught up in the biographical drama of it all than is healthy...or maybe that's just me ;)...if you've never been to Stereo Mountain, though, this one's as good a guide as any...think of it as the "Rumours" of Moncton or something ;)
