I have been a fan of Jerry Hadley since I heard him sing Lenski at the Met in 1987. Unfortunately, his tragic death has revealed the sparseness of his recorded legacy. I regret that I did not purchase "The Art of Bel Canto" while it was available. On this cross-over recording, the beautiful voice of obvious. The opening "Almost Like Being in Love" sets a standard to which the rest of the selections rise. This is my favorite of all my recordings of "Bring Him Home," where Hadley's fabulous head tone shines through, as it does on the final note of "Manhattan." Even in the novelty numbers, like "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat" and "The Sadder But Wiser Girl," the beauty is there. While I like some selections better than others, there is not a weak track on this recording. August 27, 2007

I really loved this cd and I really loved Hadley's voice. I think he is the best opera tenpr out there today. I would suggest to any one that buys this cd that get ready for a musical masterpiece because this man is just that. Im a really big fan of broadway showtunes and really enjoyed listening to this man sing some very great songs. April 24, 2005
