Everything on this cd is terrific, but the Kraft "Evening Voluntaries" is simply not to be believed. The range Cerminaro covers is over four and a half octaves, from the low pedal C to a written high G above C. He plays unearthly chords, lips trills, Glissandos, huge interval leaps and machine-gun staccatos. Honestly, I would have thought this kind of gymnastic virtuosity on a French horn completely impossible if I hadn't heard it for myself. April 9, 2002
