This one is a classic. It's much different from the other Ten Years After albums because it has atmosphere that almost sounds like prog rock at times (even though the music is far from progressive). They never made another album like this ever again.

"One of these Days" has become a favorite in recent years, and of course, the big hit always WAS a classic. This album just has a lot of atmosphere compared to other albums by the band, and ends up sounding much different as a result. This is a GOOD thing though, because we need some diversity from time to time.

"Let the Sky Fall" is my favorite song. Love the beautiful guitar solo in the middle.

The mellow approach to the bluesy style is really a special one. I recommend this album to fans of 70's rock and people who can appreciate songwriting that's pretty good. January 3, 2009

This was their first album on Columbia and the result was a more studio based and less gritty sound. All in all, it was a fair trade off. "Here They Come" and "I've Been There, Too" are the two weak links. "One Of These Days" became a show opener for them and both it and "Once Their Was A Time" build very nicely. Uncle Jam goes back to when whey first started out and incorporated a good amount of jazz in their sets. See Undead for example. All in all a worthy disc, though it marked a departure from their more popular basic blues rock base.

I bought this album as an LP that was SQ encoded. I also have the CD. Though the effects aren't quite as good as the QUAD LP it's stlll a great album. 2007's "Saguitar by Alvin Lee" sounds remarkably similar in parts. If you have a surrpund - system (Matrix, Dolby Surround,or especially Dolby Pro-Lolgic II; try the album out !!I've got an eight channel 7.1 Dolby Pro II. ;The album . both LP (snd CD)sound great!!
