I was too young to remember the heyday of Pat Benatar's career, but there was always something about her voice that drew me to her music. As a younger fan who has become familiar with her work through the radio, I must say that this CD has made me truly appreciate all that Benatar has done for music.

I don't know Benatar's albums very well, but this CD has done a great job of introducing me to her music. There's a rawness and strength to her voice that is unique to the music world, yet she is definitely singing, not merely screaming. Songs like 'Heartbreaker' and 'Fire and Ice' demonstrate the strength of her voice, while softer tunes like 'We Belong' demonstrate her true musical ability.

I've seen some say that "Best Shots" is an incomplete collection of Benetar's greatest hits, and that may very well be the case. I've often found that greatest hits albums are missing one or two songs that have had an impact on many fans. But as someone relatively new to Pat's music, I must say this this record has made me appreciate her work. And isn't that one of the purposes of a greatest hits album? December 20, 2008

Crimson and Clover was Joan Jett. However, this album is in fact missing Treat Me Right and You Better Run.

Still, a very good showing for one of the best voices in rock. May 10, 2006

this is a good CD. but it is missing something(s) treat me right and crimson and clover. Pat did a good job on both of these songs. March 6, 2006

rating: 3 QuoteThis "best of" compilation has only one positive.Quote
The only positive to this CD is that it includes the album tracks. "All Fired Up! The Best of Pat Benatar" and the remastered "Greatest Hits" both use the single versions of a handful of songs. This 15-song selection ommits a few good tracks, inlcuding "Treat Me Right", "Little Too Late", and "You Better Run". The sound quality is also below par. September 6, 2005
