How to listen to this album in 3 easy steps:

1.) Go out clubbing to see one of your favorite DJ's.

2.) Add "substances" to your night.

3.) Leave the club at closing, get home, bust a cocktail, lay down, and put on 'Chill Out' by The KLF.

There's very few albums I'd rate as a pure classic, but this is one of them. For me it's the theme tune to drifting off somewhere on a sunny afternoon when you don't have to do anything apart from Chill Out. If I could only own 5 albums this would be one of them, superb. Try having it on really quiet when you get into bed ... September 29, 2008

Best ambient electronic album ever.

Also, if you're a fan, check out the bootleg called "Waiting for the Rites of Mu". This was actually two recordings "Waiting" and "The Rites of Mu"...one of which has a long voiceover from Martin Sheen. These were never released, but you can find them online. Definitely worth finding if you like this album. August 22, 2008

"Chill Out" creates a crystal clear vision of a lonely drive through the American South, during the summer, with the windows down. It's a real-time journey that is so convincing in its execution that you will feel like you have been on a real trip once it's over. A brilliant ambient album! April 27, 2008

I really don't know how to review this... but this album invokes my mind to produce vivid images for 44 minutes straight. It really is a mesmerising and memorable experience. One of my all-time favourite albums. August 5, 2006
