I only purchased this CD.. didn't get the original Braveheart soundtrack. The 2 tracks that I listen to over and over and over again would be Sons Of Scotland (a moving, 12-minute piece of music which makes you feel like you're both warrior and patriot - although it has a voice-over, the speech is a very stirring one and complements the track) and For The Love Of A Princess (only 4 minutes but very touching as well).

Although some tracks are little more than voice-overs from the movie, I would buy this album again just for the 2 tracks. It does leave me feeling a little "empty" though so I'll probably end up buying the first OST cd as well. March 22, 2006

I am a big fan of this film and also of the soundtrack. So, naturally, when I came across this album, I purchased it. I will say that it does have diologue straight from the film overlaying the music and this isn't the best quality. But, if you like the speeches of the film, or you need some motivation, maybe it is good for you. The bagpipe tracks that are included which are not in the film are ok as well. All in all, I like this CD, and listen to it together with the original soundtrack on the iPod. However, if bagpipes and voiceovers bother you; then I'd advise to stick with the original soundtrack. ...if you want to listen to the music with the dialogue. I personally like to listen to soundtracks that are, well, soundtracks, i.e. music, not the audio track of the movie. Oh well, the couple of pieces that don't have obnoxious voice over are just fine. November 21, 2005

I have this CD and listen to it all the time. It's melodic and inspiring! I rate it at the top of my CD list and no regrets here. I'd gladly buy it again! Everything I have bought from Amazon and Amazon marketplace has been top quality, I'm a very happy customer. April 17, 2005

I have the first CD. In fact, I had to buy it again because I listened to the first one so many times, it accumulated too much wear and wore out. Although the OST to Braveheart is one of the finest film scores out there and THE finest James Horner score, it did noticeably omit some tracks. For example, the cue when William Wallace arrives at his childhood home after being away for a very long time AND when Robert the Bruce notices his father peering over him and another man early on in the film. So when I saw More Music From Braveheart, I was estactic. When I listened to the whole album, I was very disappointed.

When they don't include tracks complete with voice-overs (I can record parts of the film myself and duplicate this dubious and as-of-recently overused technique), they include tracks that were on the first album! They also add fluff by including bagpipe music (I love bagpipes, therefore I buy bagpipe ALBUMS) just to make the album at first glance worthy of purchase. All in all, it's the most shallow attempt at money milking I have ever seen, and I purchase Star Wars soundtracks if that gives you any reference.

Why they don't just release a complete score with the complete soundtrack absolutely escapes me. I would buy it in a second just as long as it contains every piece of music from the great film. March 25, 2004
