Tonino Baliardo is an INCREDIBLE flamenco guitarist on this CD - Let 'Siempre Acaba Tu Vida', or, 'Tierra Gitana' bring you to tears...
As well, Nicolas Reyes' strong, raspy, voice can't help but take you to Cordova or Sevilla or Madrid - or under the cobbled streets of Zaragoza with Spanish wine at your table in any of the warm, Cordilleran nights...
These are the guys you want to listen to when your blood is running passionately.
Go ahead, tap the steering wheel and the dash in your SUV - I do.

This is my latest Gipsy Kings CD. I will be the first to say that it is a very good CD, but it's not quite as good as the other three I have. There's maybe two tracks that I really like on this one (compared to five or six on Gipsy Kings). Certainly a good CD, but I like my others a little better. This is not to say that you should not get this one, because it's still a really good CD.
November 27, 2002This is the only gipsy king record I own, so I can't compare it. What we get here is a blend of rumba, flamenco, pop with some very raw, raspy vocals. The production quality is top-notch and the songs are pretty well varied, I tend to prefer the faster paced songs. My faves are the ultra catchy "a ti a ti" and "siempre acaba tu vida" and "la rumba de nicolas". Check this one out.
August 6, 2001This is the album I bring out when my mom is in pain. The guitar is fast yet soothing and helps her pain. She likes the leads voice, its very soothing and she soon feels better and falls asleep. A great album when your stressed out. Its a relief from your everyday world. Gypsy Kings is great medicine!
July 10, 2001Tierra Guitana is a brilliant release. Standout tracks are: A Ti A Ti, Mujer, Pajarito and the beautiful ballad Mi Corazon. The instrumental songs are all very good too. The Euro version is different from the US version. The most noticable difference is that the title of the Album is not the same. The name of the US release is Tierra Gitana, named after one of the instrumental tracks, but the name of the Euro Album is Estralles. Estralles is another instrumental track. The Auro release containes the very beautiful Forever, which is an instrumental song, but the US release containes the equally good Los Peces en el Rio. Both Albums very recommended.
