I didn't like this album quite as much as "Right in the Middle of It." It's not quite as fun and catchy as that album; fewer quick tunes. There's good stuff here though, including:

Your Woman Misses Her Man
Emma Jean's Guitar - nice tune about history of a guitar and its former owner

Is It Love Yet
Feeling Single and Seeing Double August 6, 2007

On this record, her new label and producer helped Chely "break out." This album has better material and is produced to appeal to "no frills" fans more- this is some of Chely's best work. Its obvious that she knew her voice all along; she only needed to find an audience.

These are excellent song choices;they fit into Chely's style well. Many are subdued yet still emotional. "Shut Up and Drive" was the hit single that got her noticed. Its well-chosen but not Chely's best. The title track is a power ballad, pleading and hearfelt. "Emma Jean's Guitar" is a throwback song about a bygone era- a perfect choice because Chely is definitely a throwback to a simpler era. "Feelin Single-Seein Double" has a honky tonk 70s feel. "10lb heart" is a little corny, but this is after all country, and I still love her delivery. This album is permeated with her simple beauty, and "I Already Do" is a good example. Its the best representation of Chely's talent (co-written by her).

I highly recommend this. It has a soulfulness pop/country can't claim. Its more traditional than pop, but really as other reviewers have stated, all you need to like this is to appreciate quality singing delivering well-crafted lyrics. As she proclaimed on a later record, "Its the Song." May 25, 2007

This is her best CD. "Before You Lie" is lovely and really shows-off her voice. The whole CD is a good listen. February 14, 2007

I ordered this record mainly for one track I heard a few times on Radio 2, "Shut Up and Drive". Was impressed by the rest of the album. If you are into Country you will love this! it was great value for money as well... August 21, 2006

The great thing about this album is that its got 5 ballades and 5 uptempos. But I prefer Chely as a ballader, because she's got absolutely very very good lyrics. My favorite songs of this album is I Already Do and Before You Lie, both of the songs got amazing lyrics, and when I here these two song my tears almost runs out. Feelin'Singel And Seein'Double is another good song which is very catchy.
But the hole album is very good. June 19, 2006
