I bought this album as a kid because I liked the twins outfits! Then I saw Cherie Currie as Annie in Foxes that same week. It's not The Runaways, but there are some great tracks. July 14, 2008

s a runaways fan I highly recommend this album, like other people have said not all the tracks are great but there are some catchy songs on this album once you get over how beautiful Cherrie and Marie are you have some great songs ,this is a best of there 2 albums since they had no hits it's not a hits album,This Time is so catchy it should of been a hit also Since You've Been Gone guitar riff sounds like The Scorpions Rock You Like A Hurricane but it's a more enjoyable song ,the title track rocks also and the ballad Prisoner I like a lot, the muscianship is very good some of the songs do sound dated since they should since it was from the 1970's anyway if your a runaways fan these tracks are worth a listen. NOT Runaways music. If you're a Runaways fan, that does NOT mean you will immediately become a fan of Currie as a solo artist.
It's a totally different type of music---I don't even know what to call it. I'd like to say Pop, but it's too boring; I'm angry at myself for jumping in and buying all of these cds because I just found The Runaways and loved all of their stuff (except for "and now..." which I liked, not loved).
"Beauty's only skin deep" fares only slightly better, as it has some "cute" harmonies. This is a real dud....See if you can give it a listen before you rush to buy it. I wish I had. August 8, 2005

Capitol Records scrapped this delectable cover pic of the foxy Currie sisters for a spandex-'n-slanted scenery pose back in 1980, so it's great to get the original back. The CD comes with decent extra tracks recently recorded by Cherie, who sounds tougher and more determined than ever. I have always loved her soaring vocal work-out on "This Time" and Marie holds her own belting out a cover of "Overnight Sensation"(which is better than Eric Carmen's version). Now all we need is a DVD of the Currie sisters singing "Messin'" on Sha-Na-Na and the world can rest easy... B+ January 19, 2003

What a boring CD...Not a single track is driven; this isn't rock and roll...It's the soundtrack to a seventies after school special... July 27, 2002
