Well, If you read my review of her 4-cd set on here at Amazon, and wondered what I was talking about that was "missing", you will get some of those songs HERE!

"I Wish I Had A Wooden Heart"
"Moon River"
"Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me"
"Love IS A Many Splendid Thing"
"My Foolish Heart"
"Wayward Wind"
"True Love"

All these songs, while mostly "B" sides, were some of the greatest songs the "Wonderful Girl" ever sang. What REALLY needs to be released in this country (I am fortunate to have a copy on a limited release import) is Connie's album "The Great American Waltzes"....Now THERE was a GREAT GREAT Album of hers, so very sadly neglected. I do not understand where Universal's heads are. Millions of people from my/our age would flock to buy some of Connies long-lost recordings/albums. I have long hoped for a volume 3 of the Bear Records series, which would most likely have completed her whole career, but it has not come forth, and responses to my inquiries were not too positive.

Anyway! Grab a copy of this album, QUICK, before it is out of print, and at least add these songs to your collection. This album does go a good way towards filling in the gaps on the "Souvenirs" collection.

DO ENJOY! ~operabruin July 11, 2007

Now we are in the right groove. This carefully selected disc displays Connie Francis at her best. And her best is better. This well thought out collection is the primer for other cds to look to. Connie's powerful and beatiful voice is evident here and every song is a winner. Forget the bop till you drop hits reissues that constantly come our way and get this fine CD. This is an import of course, her American label Universal apparently is not ready to take a giant step forward and release material of this quality. Maybe it's time to listen to the music? You can't go wrong with this disc. It's a keeper. May 21, 2006

I was introduced to Ms. Connie Francis' music by my mom who happens to have a vinyl record of her album " Connie Francis Sings Never On Sunday and other movie themes" under MGM label, way back in the early 70's. I was just a little boy then. It was a favorite album in our home during those times, so i get to listen to it most of the time. I'm still in search for a CD copy of that album for my collection, but i was not fortunate enough to find one up to this point in time. When i visited a record bar, i saw this CD and bought it right away since some of the songs in the mgm label where also included in this one. I listened to the whole CD and i must say that this is one of her best. I highly recommend this compilation to all Connie Francis fan. June 18, 2005

"World of" I can proudly say was my "Connie Francis starter CD" among many collections to follow. At the time this came available there still wasn't as much out of her music on CD yet aside from her "bubble gum" collections ("Stupid Cupid", "Where the Boys are", "Lipstick on Your Collar", etc.) which I wasn't interested in. Here is a select set of standards that might not necessarily have been "Connie songs"; but through her elegance and soulfulness she made each her own. She even elevated some from other pop "bubblegum" tunes to classier pieces like the way she handled "Hold Me, Thrill Me" "Tammy" and "Wayward Wind" - which would sound silly coming from lesser talents, IMO. Lovely, sophisticated arrangements accompanied everything on this collection so it all blends well together. Always a phenomenal talent and definitely in top vocal quality on all songs here!
