A Wonderful Collection of Rarities

If you like New Model Army at all this disc is a wonderful compliment to your collection. This disc spans a good decade of NMA and it represents a side of their sound not found on most of their studio albums. A definite must for any completeist. As a resident of the USA most of these tracks are quite rare until being made accessible here for the first time.

The sound of most of this disc is mostly underproduced, in a good way. A very raw honest sound. Although you could describe most NMA songs that way. But most of these songs seem to have another layer peeled away, truly exposing the musicians. The sort of stuff that reveals them in a close intimate way. This is as real as it gets, barring a live performance. September 18, 1999
