Scatman Crothers was once the king of the cotton club in harlem and unfortunately he has been forgotten in the flood of musical changes that have been brought on by the past 50 years.scatman's best music has been shelfed and hopefully will be eventually remastered and re-released on cd.this cd is good but not enough to create the type of energy that was created by this gentleman so many years ago in the early days of the cotton club in pre-intergration america and even during the depression. many jazz greats have been forgotten due to lame imitations by less talented and trendier performers. this album represents an important part of american culture and should be purchased before it goes out of print.
