You know how an album has a flow to it? This album has no flow. It seems as if the tracks were layed down without a plan.
I was upset because this album felt commercialized and fake. I missed the rawness of original TLC work.
I'm torn, it isn't an artists fault when they want to expand their horizons and push their talent to the limit. Just seems like something was missing on this album. I've owned it for a long time now, I can't believe I'm just getting around to review it now :)
Otherwise, it is a MUST HAVE for any TLC fan, for sure! October 15, 2007

this was once my favorite tlc album(now its 3d). the girls were so creative on this one and it was dedicated to the fans.though i wish left eye was used more on this album, not that it upsets me,but we never got a chance to really know her(well all we know was she was crazy),but like t-boz said,it's a figure of speech.most of the tracks are boring but those that make up this album would be:
SILLY HO
NO SCRUBS
IM GOOD AT BEING BAD
I MISS YOU SO MUCH
MY LIFE-WHICH IS MY FAVORITE ON THIS ENTIRE ALBUM
DEAR LIE
LOVESICK March 22, 2007

TLC definitely came back strong after a long 5 year hiatus, dealing with public feuding, and health problems with a fantastic album. This album is just as good as CrazySexyCool, but didn't quite top it. They had good tracks like "If They Knew", "Lovesick", "Good At Being Bad", both of Chilli's solo tracks, and a song called "NO Scrubs". I went to see their Fanmail concert and the performance was fabolous, too bad there will be no more. R.I.P. Lisa "Lefteye" Lopes. February 24, 2007

big r&b music lover. i've been following tlc almost from their initial entry into the music biz. this is a GREAT album. it is diverse. these girls were so big and cool when i was in high school. and they still are. if you weren't listening to tlc you weren't listening to great music! lol. it is so sad that Lisa (Left eye) died. now there won't be anymore fantastic music from this talented group. B/c frankly, no one can replace her. i really don't think i will buy a tlc album if they were to come out with a new member. i can't stand imitations or replacements. love t-boz's voice on this too. the futuristic sound of most of the whole album complements her raspy voice very well. my best songs:

1. silly ho- so true. catchy, love the beat, can't even explain it. to give you an idea it almost sounds like a neptunes song

2. no scrubs- nothing much needs to be said. just a great song. great beat. it was the hit song of the year! who doesn't know about it must've been living under a rock!

3. fanmail- similar to silly ho, it has a very futuristic, neptunes like beat. very catchy

4. unpretty-the other hit of the year. beautfiful lyrics. was very happy someone finally touched on that subject and summed it up so thoroughly & concisely

5. good at being bad- multi-layer song, funny lyrics

also, dear lie, has beautiful, truthful lyrics. which just illustrates that this is not one of those "all style and no substance" albums. no way. they took their time and wrote some fantastic lyrics to accompany their hot music..love the cover pic too! February 1, 2007

The dawn of the revamped TLC spawned many concerns from the public. People wondered if the group could recover from constant quarrel rumors, personal/private life issues (T-boz sturggling with sickle-cell anemia, Chili finally connecting with her birth father after 20 years of absence, Left-eye burning down her beloved fiance's multi-million dollar home) and their notoriously publicized bankruptcy, TLC proved that with faith, a plan, and endless support from die-hard devoted fans, anything is possible. TLC broke records and shined through with this groundbreaking, solid album.

I loved everything this album, to say the least. If I were able to change anything about it I wouldn't, not even the order of the tracks. I loved the "futuristic" theme TLC used in the computer-generated sounds and kinky voices on the interludes to represent the future. There pain, pleasure, lust, laughter, honesty, humility, anguish, audacity, character, and courage..and TLC didn't miss a beat (literally.)

I believe this album has something that everyone can relate to, no matter who you are or where you come from. I can personally relate to 'Dear Lie,' I felt that track really hit home and taught me alot about my own vulnerability. This album is practically 7 years old and I still listen to it to this very day, faithfully...that is a true classic.
Standout tracks: Silly Hoe, I Miss You So Much, Dear Lie, Unpretty, Fanmail, I'm Good At Bein Bad, and My Life. September 7, 2006
