About Belly

Jam-packed with classy tracks and saddled with a minimum of filler, Belly is the best hip-hop soundtrack to come down the pike since Death Row's Gang Related. The prerequisite soundtrack ballads are quickly dispensed with by a couple of R. Kelly productions and a Stevie Wonder cover, thus leaving plenty of room for the more fierce musical attacks by the likes of the film's stars--DMX, Method Man, and Nas--as well as Jay-Z, Noreaga, and Sauce Money. The album takes on a progressively more harrowing feel as it moves along (aided by excerpts of dialogue from the film), culminating in an incredible Wu-Tang Clan track, "Windpipe," in which the manic spitting craziness of Wu-Tang at their best is paired up with an eerie, incongruous banjo loop. --Charley Gothic Amazon.com

Besides the R&B cuts throughout the beginning there are some truly classic cuts from GZA/Ghostface, Made Men, NORE,and Braveheart.Yo Catfish, the track is "Bam Bam" by Sister Nancy. It's classic early 80's dancehall. Was always disappointed that it wasn't put on the soundtrack along with the Soul 2 Soul remix from the opening scene.respect April 26, 2006

the song at 40.48 is Mop blood sweat and tears. The music that was played during the film made the movie. If not for the music i do not think the movie be one in the regular rotation September 8, 2005
