This is one of the earliest LEVELLERS albums (the first I believe) and it focuses on their celtic folk rebelliousness reminescent of LEVELLING THE LAND, THE LEVELLERS, and to a lesser degree ZEITGIEST ( the cd GREEN BLADE RISING is different for a number of reasons, but that's another story).
Lots of great rousing tunes (What You Know, World Freakshow, Carry Me), but the center of the album pivots around slower(!?) folk/punk ballads of rebellion and easier,less-industrial times (No Change, I Have No Answers, Blind Faith, Three Friends).
The latest edition of this cd,2002, contains 3 additional tracks...2 which are live tracks of songs never heard before or since, and the last a re-mix of Three Friends that previews a hip-hop style irish jig heard later as the coda to The Boatman on LEVELLING THE LAND.
All in all this is a great cd for newbies and faithful fans. July 1, 2004
