This man was one of the true innovators of the memphis sound. He will be miss I know that for a fact. I was 16yrs when i was crusin with my sister she put an eight track on it was The Issac Hayes Movement the rest is history for me plain and simple.Chocalate Chip is straight up cool title track, come live with me,can,t turn around. body language good songs i remember when this LP was release back in the day a lot of die hard IH fans love it some it had to grow on.Today some of the tracks are influential in pushing house music where it is today
August 22, 2008Being a native from Chicago, Illinois, I remember playing the original record on my dad's turntable. A true classic. I truly enjoyed Isaac Hayes, recording of "I Can't Turn Around." When Farley Jackmaster Funk produced a house rendition of the track, "I Can't Turn Around," the entire city was dancing to the beat. Now, after being informed of Isaac Hayes untimely death, his contributions to R&B will always be remembered.
August 11, 2008In 1974 alot of people thought it was all over for Isaac Hayes.. but as he Sir Isaac proved many times in his career he is one for triumphant comebacks... just when you think you wont hear from him again he pops up and the whole world takes notice.
This album"Chocolate Chip" was one of those moments.. financially Ike;s back was against the wall and "CC" allowed him room to breath when it was released and the title track and the heavenly ballad"Come Live With Me" stormed up the charts.
This is a staple album for any true Ike Hays Fan.. it is a must to have in your collection.

August 22, 2007 | | Isaac's transition from soul to disco. | |
On this 1975 release, Isaac Hayes made a transition from soul to disco. Not as essential or as artistically substantial as his Stax releases but its production values are solid and it has the right blend of ballads and disco tracks.
