For years this was the only patriotic CD I owned. I pull it out every Independence Day, Memorial Day, and Flag Day, and get my fix. Excellent.
June 18, 2007This would be a great CD without Sandi Patty.....but with her, it is outstanding! I also saw her perform her version of the National Anthem at one of the Fourth of July concerts, and while I cringe when someone diverges from the original, when she was done, there wasn't a dry eye or a butt on the ground. When the song stopped, the audience actually erupted. But, back to the CD. Nothing more needs to be said about Kate Smith. Lee Greenwood wrote and performed an excellent song....the Trilogy was great, only thing needed would have been the Jordinaires (sp). Highly entertaining and inspiring, can't go wrong buying this CD.

No one has ever sung the Star Spangled Banner like Sandi Patty. Everyone else should stop singing it unless they use the same full musical arrangement and have a voice as supreme as Ms. Patty's.
We first heard this incredible version of this wonderful song at the Northridge, CA Shepard of the Hills fireworks demonstration and, since then, nothing else comes close.
Cheers for Ms. Patty and may she and the flag wave forever.
July 3, 2005I bought this for The Star Spangled Banner by Sandi Patty and was not let down. The other songs compliment the entire cd to be used at your next Independance Day Celebaration or whenever you are in the Patriotic mood!

...then you need to check your pulse, because you've probably assumed room temperature. These are the grand old patriotic songs we all learned as kids in school, that they no longer play any more because until recently, it wasn't politically correct to love your country. Thankfully, Americans are finally waking up to how truly fortunate they are to be able to listen to music like this, let alone buy a great CD with all these wonderfully written and performed favorites. A great gift for every patriot in your life.
