Buyer beware.

In a word, "boring".

Another word, "tedious"

First two cuts great classic rock anthems, slightly overplayed but who could ever shut down their ears when Magic Carpet Ride surfaces? And who wouldn't envision themselves with a Hog between their legs and bugs are smacking their face when Born To Be Wild is wafting in the etheral airwaves?

After that, not a lot of energy or enthusaism and the ten cuts seemed to take forever to wade through back to the first two power cuts. Not much more to say, other then this disc really felt as yet another attempt to squeeze as much remaining droplets of quality out of an already depleted repetoire.

If this disc isn't free refrain from wasting your time because this journey has two flats and is stuck in the ditch of life. January 29, 2008

Just got it takes a while maybe by about 12:00 to-night it will be a full fact flight but as of right now I'm so glad I finally went out and got me some Steppenwolf even if it is the Rock and Roll band.

All that stuff`s on the web about where they came from and who`s who so I won`t trash that again here but I will say as a small time musician that plays along I really do love this album and all the songs that`s on it.

Somebody went to a lot of work picking out the songs `cause they`re all from different albums I guess but the right ones are here if you just want a taste or a small meal.

The cover is kinda like a lot of others but I see it`s all just rock and roll and that`s that but if you like Rock Art there`s the full records by this band and they`re great especially if you`re UI even so they`re still not like what everybody else did and that speaks for itself.

Unless you were born in the stone age there`s a song called Born to be Wild on this CD and it`s one you have to listen to a couple of times to find a sweet place to listen maybe ten thousand feet.

Magic Carpet Ride is next not bad but if you`ve heard it an hundred times or more you might try and find the other solution in between the lines just the same some fair Rock and Roll here.

It`s Never Too Late follows a track for those that might want a Ballad in their life.

Rock Me is next.... Rock me Baby Rock me Baby all night long!

Snowblind Friend

So far it sounds like somebody`s funeral...! Seriously. Some form of blues I guess but this is Rock and Roll.

Some tasty guitar and an all out voice are all you need to put anything past me and this album has it all.

There`s five more tracks and they`re all just perfect.

I like Alice Cooper, Yes, The Rolling Stones and one Ted Nugent album but Steppenwolf is just the best of all. What I mean is there`s no way to put Steppenwolf down as just another band they`re in class all on their own so if you want a piece of it all give this one a try.

These guys still tour I found the website that books them by mistake on a search and I thought I`d put that down maybe we can see these guys at the Superbowl if enough people want to see something big for change.

Anyways that`s it take care of it.

Later...

Later much... just got this one on and it's still great but even getting better with age... mine as in I think I've finally got down all the parts on air anyways... this one never lets you down it's just the hippies over the hill that give you hell for playing it too loud. I use headphones..... May 5, 2007

This was the first Steppenwolf album I bought, and it really got me hooked. On long drives between college and home I just pop this in and let it run. It really got me hooked on John Kay, and I'm slowly amassing more stuff. Beat Goes On put out a couple of good double albums that are worth looking for too, one with Steppenwolf/Steppenwolf The Second and another with At Your Birthday Party/Steppenwolf 7. I am very happy with this CD! There isn't a weak track on it, and for introduction purposes it's right on. June 10, 2004
