Ahhh Underworld. You either love them or you hate them. Never really heard anyone say that "they're O.K.". Well, however people feel about Underworld, they are one of the biggest influences and contributors to the world of electronica. Their unique sound and track production has been a re-mix gold mine for world class British DJ's aplenty.

However, all great musical groups tend to fade as the years go by. For myself, Beaucoup Fish was the beginning for Underworld. Not a terrible album, but definitely not up to the caliber of their previous works. Although "Shudder/King Of Snake" is argueably the most infamous track on this album, my vote goes to "Kittens" as Beaucoup Fish's stunner.

Too many dud tracks dragged down my overall rating for this album. "Bruce Lee" is terrible. The last three tracks are not much better. I was disappointed with this effort despite buying it the week it was released (which by the way is 1998 and not 1999 as Amazon states). Eventhough two years elapsed since their last ablum, Beaucoup Fish always sounded rushed to me.

3/5 stars. July 28, 2007

Underworld's follow-up to "Second Toughest in the Enfants" clearly proves yet again their artistry. Buy this album now. October 12, 2006

Most of these reviewers are too enamoured with themselves, their own descriptive prowess and their ability to dance about architecture, so I'll sum it up for you. This is one of the best alblums of the 90s. Do yourself a favor and buy it. May 17, 2006

You like winjer but you dont like MOANER!!! Maybe im thinking of the Batman and Robin version but Moaner is amazing its probably one of their more fast songs but so kool. The angry voice is so kool it puts you in a complete trance makes your spine shiver. I love how it sounds like hes describing something going on its just phenomanal. not to mention the sweetness of the bass in the song. Winjer to me doesnt do it especially when u got bruce lee, kittens, jumbo, push upstairs, and cups on the same alblum. I love that noise in jumbo that sounds like someone bitting into an apple or a flash going off its so creepy. And bruce lee is just way different and super kool. November 8, 2005

From the first time i heard Jumbos pulsing baseline, i was hooked on Beaucoup fish. I will say with utmost comfidence that this is underworlds best album over Dubnobass and Second Toughest.Songs such as Cups, Jumbo, King of Snake, Bruce Lee and Push Upstairs still fascinate me as i marvel at the expert progression and song crafting that Emerson and crew unleashed with this album. I highly reccomend this to all lovers of electronic music and i can assure you there is no way you can be unsatisfied with this masterpiece. August 22, 2005
