Profoundly beautiful!

I just purchased this CD. I am a music therapist and use alot of relaxation music with clients. This CD stands out above many which are created for relaxation.
I must say I found this CD exquisitely beautiful. The various arrangements of Pachelbel's Canon are very soothing and at times emotion evoking. I would use this music for relaxation with my clients. It can also be used very well for healing touch, reiki and massage. One can easily get lost in the soothing strains of this music. The body can entrain to the flowing rhythms to help relax breathing, the mind, and the body.
I did play this CD in the car today. I found it really helped me to relax during rush hour and just enjoy the drive with this gorgeous music. This CD has many uses, for one's own relaxing, for use with the healing arts, as wonderful background music while working in the office, etc.
If you are a fan of Pachelbel, buy this CD. You won't be dissapointed!! October 4, 2007

Very dissapointed, Canon Molested Beyond Recognition

I love Pachelbel and who doesn't? I was looking for a CD, much like you are, with it done in various ways- piano, violin, vocal, etc. Different tempos, chords, instruments, etc. I thought this was it. No. This is like PacHELLbel. I can kind of make out a Canon tune in the staggered tempos, extrapolations, and outright molestations of the original tune but it's just too far from the mark. Maybe I am not sophisticated enough. Great for elevators in medical buildings. One track though is the original essentially and it is very well done but the rest... I want my money back! March 17, 2007

Absolutely beautiful!

My tastes are rather eclectic, but this CD is just the ticket for an evening by the fire with a glass of wine and a good book. All the cuts have their own qualities, but I believe Nocturne to be the absolute best. I listen to it and envision being in a place like Brigadoon, don't ask why. December 5, 2006

The Perfection of Pachelbel

I am perhaps THE ultimate admirer of this mans works and I am here to say, if it is Pachelbel (Johann only), it is a magnificient work make no mistake I would give it fifty stars if I could, so I will. To you, my Baroque Babe, I give you the highest praise possible. September 30, 2006
